Students with additional support needs
Students with additional support needs
Do you have a disability, health issue, mental health issue or specific learning difficulty that could affect your studies?
Some students will benefit from individual arrangements and extra support. This is organised by our learning support team either online, via telephone or in person. If you feel you may require support, we encourage you to speak to our education support advisors so they can put supportive arrangements in place for you. We encourage our students to tell us in advance of starting their course, where possible, so we can ensure the best level of support is in place from the start.
Wellbeing
Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our students is important. Healthy living is about making sure your physical, mental and social needs are met so you can achieve your full potential.
We recognise the diversity of our students and the need for flexible programme of support to suit our students' individual needs. We take a proactive, holistic approach to encouraging positive mental, physical and social health, by supporting, advising and advocating for all students.
We incorporate counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, mental health support and psychoeducational support into our service. Our qualified staff provide appointments, workshops and group sessions to students available online and in person. We also liaise closely with external agencies to provide support.
